Pakistan To Face Japan Today In Their Second Match

Pakistan will face Japan today in their second match of 10th edition of Men’s Asia Cup Hockey tournament in Dhaka.

In their opening campaign, Pakistan produced an impressive performance to outclass Bangladesh 7-nil in the same venue.

For Pakistan, Abu Bakar Mahmood scored three goals while Ammad Shakeel Butt and Arslan Qadir netted two goals each.

This was the fifth meeting between Pakistan and Bangladesh in asia cup. Pakistan have won all the five encounters without conceding a goal.

The eight-team tournament will serve as a platform for 2018 world cup as the winner will directly qualify for the marquee event, which will be held from November 24 in India.
