World XI Beat Pakistan By 7 Wickets, Series Level 1-1

World Eleven beat Pakistan by 7 wickets in the thrilling second twenty-20 of independence cup 2017 at Gaddafi Stadium lahOre to level the series 1-1.

Earlier, Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed won the toss and elected to bat first.

Batting first Pakistan scored 174 runs for the loss of six wickets in allotted 20 over's.

Openers Fakhar Zaman and Ahmed Shehzad provide 41 runs stand for the first wicket.

Fakhar was the first man to go after making 21 runs off 13 balls, hitting four boundaries.

Ahmed Shehzad and Babar Azam then added 59 runs for the second wicket.

Babar Azam remained top scorer with 45 runs, smashing five boundaries.

Ahmed Shehzad added 43 with the help of five boundaries and one six.

Shoaib Malik in the end hit 23-ball 39. Malik smashed three sixes and one boundary in his innings.

Imad Wasim made 15 runs.

For World Eleven, Samuel Badree and Thisara Perera bagged two wickets each while Ben Cutting and Imran Tahir took one wicket each.
In reply world eleven achieved the 175-run target for the loss of three wickets in 19.5 over's.

Hashim Amla and Tamim Iqbal added 47 runs for the opening wicket.

Tamim Iqbal made 23 before Sohail Khan got his wicket. Tim Paine made 10 while Faf du Plessis added 20 runs.

After losing three wickets on 106 in 14 over's, Hashim Amla shared unbeaten stand of 69 runs with Thisara Perera.

Amla remained top scorer with unbeaten 72 runs knock. He hit five boundaries and two sixes in his 55-ball knock.

Perera hit quick-fire 46 off 19, hitting five sixes in his innings.

For Pakistan, Imad Wasim, Sohail Khan and Mohammad Nawaz took one wicket each.

The third and final match of the series will be played on Friday at Gadaffi Stadium.
