Army Chief Meets Australian Civil, Military Leaders

Australian civil and military leadership has appreciated Pakistan's contributions and achievements in war against terrorism.

They expressed these views in meetings with Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa, who is on official visit to Australia

According to ISPR, during his visit Army Chief met Senate's committee for foreign and defense affairs and Australian Chief of Defense Staff, air Chief and Secretary Defense.

General Qamar Bajwa also visited Joint Operations and Planning Headquarters and Force Command Headquarters.

He also interacted at Australian strategic policy institute and the office of national assessment.

Army Chief said enhanced defense ties between two countries could act as impetus for broader bilateral cooperation in fields of education, investment, regional connectivity & trade.

On the occasion, General Qamar Bajwa said he was extremely humbled by the Australian goodwill for Pakistan.
