President Addresses OIC Summit On Science And Technology

President Mamnoon Hussain has said lack of focus on education has caused Muslim Nations to fall behind in terms of progress.

Addressing the organization of Islamic Cooperation’s conference on Science and Technology in Kazakhstan's Capital Astana, President Mamnoon said Muslim world should strive to achieve self-sufficiency in political, social and economic sectors.

Lamenting neglect in field of education and research, President said new challenges could only be addressed and common man's life uplifted by prioritizing attainment of modern knowledge.

Lauding resolve of the participant nations to focus on Science and Technology, President Mamnoon said new projects and work in space sciences, Astrology and marine life sciences would open new opportunities for economic growth in Muslim countries.

Appreciating the imitative of OIC and Islamic Development Bank for Cooperation, Mamnoon Hussain pledged Pakistan's complete support in fulfillment of its agenda.
