Japan Strengthens Missiles Defense System
The government has decided to deploy patriot interceptor missiles in parts of Western Japan that North Korea’s missiles are expected to fly over if Pyongyang actually goes through with its plan to fire them at Guam,
Hiroshima, Shimane and Kochi were specifically named by Pyongyang as prefectures of Japan.
Its missiles would fly over when it said it was working on a plan for a missile strike near the U.S. Pacific territory of Guam.
Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe who was visiting his ancestors' Grave over the long Obon weekend, where it is customary to honor the spirits of one's ancestors, promised he was doing all he could to protect the Japanese people.
The U.S. and North Korea are locked in war of words that has seen tensions escalate nearly daily.
