Pakistan's National Interest Linked To Afghan Peace : Afghan Leadership Should Seize The Opportunity : FM Qureshi
Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said, Pakistan's National Interest is linked with peace in Afghanistan as stable Afghanistan will Usher in an Era of progress and prosperity in the region.
Addressing a News Conference in Islamabad, the Foreign Minister said, Shah Mahmood Qureshi said, Chairman Afghan Reconciliation Council Dr Abdullah Abdullah's visit to Islamabad will strengthen Pak-Afghan relations.
He said, Civil-Military Leadership of Pakistan is unanimous on supporting Afghan Peace process.
The Foreign Minister stated that Pakistan fulfilled its responsibility of facilitating the Afghan peace process and this is high time that Afghan Leadership should play its role to make it a success.
He said, the peace in Afghanistan will open up investment and business opportunities for Pakistani Investors and Businessmen.
The Foreign Minister stated that Pakistan supports de-escalation in hostilities and ceasefire agreement among the warring parties in Afghanistan.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi said, Pakistan desires to lay Foundation of a long-lasting friendship with Afghanistan and has always supported negotiated settlement of the conflict.
